The plain-language terms.

Contracting party: AMZE LLC, a Michigan limited liability company ("we", "us", "the studio"). These terms apply to every app, demo, download, and community board on contempl8.studio and its subdomains ("the tools"). By clicking "Agree", by purchasing, or by using any tool, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the tools.
1. What the tools are — and are not
The tools are record-keeping, planning, and calculation aids. They organize information you enter and show you the results. They are not professional advice of any kind — not medical, veterinary, legal, financial, engineering, agricultural, food-safety, or surveying advice — and no tool output is a substitute for your own judgment or for a qualified professional.
2. Safety-critical activities — your responsibility
Some tools touch activities that can cause real-world harm if done wrong. You agree that you, not the tool, are responsible for doing them safely:
- Digging & buried objects (Artifact Tracker, Mow Planner): GPS positions are estimates with real error — the tools display an accuracy radius because the number is never exact. Never rely on a stored position to dig near utilities. Always contact 811 (or your local one-call service) before digging. The tools are not a utility-locating service and never a substitute for one.
- Navigation: the compass and map features are aids for revisiting your own marked spots. They are not for navigation where error could cause injury — not for aviation, marine, emergency, or backcountry-survival use.
- Food & fermentation (canning, sourdough, brewing, recipe tools): the tools do not validate that any recipe, process, time, or temperature is safe. Follow current tested guidance from authoritative sources (for canning in the US, the USDA / National Center for Home Food Preservation). Spoilage and foodborne illness risks are yours to manage.
- Infant & child tracking (Newborn Sleep, Baby & Toddler): these tools log and chart what you observe. They do not monitor your child, do not detect any condition, and do not give medical guidance. Statistics shown are summaries of your own entries. Always follow your pediatrician's guidance, including current safe-sleep recommendations. If you are concerned about your child's health, contact a medical professional — never wait on an app.
- Fitness & nutrition: consult a physician before beginning any exercise or diet program. Calculated values (calories, macros, loads) are estimates.
3. Your data lives on your device
The tools store your data locally in your browser — that is the product's design and its privacy advantage, and it has a consequence: we cannot see, recover, or restore your data. Browsers can evict local data (clearing history, storage pressure, device loss). You are responsible for making backups using each tool's export feature and keeping the exported files safe.
4. License
Your purchase buys a personal, non-transferable license for you and your household, activatable on a limited number of devices (shown at purchase). You may not resell, redistribute, share unlock links or codes publicly, or remove license and watermark mechanisms. Demo versions are for evaluation. We may revoke a license obtained fraudulently or shared in violation of these terms.
5. Community boards
Posts on the community boards are public, moderated automatically under the posted policy, and may be removed at our discretion. You keep ownership of what you post and grant us a license to display it. Don't post anything unlawful, personal data about others, or content you don't have rights to. You must be at least 13 to post.
6. Age
The tools are sold to adults. You must be 18+ to purchase and 13+ to use the tools or boards.
7. No warranty
THE TOOLS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE TOOLS WILL BE ERROR-FREE, THAT CALCULATIONS OR SENSOR READINGS (INCLUDING GPS AND COMPASS) WILL BE ACCURATE, OR THAT DATA STORED IN YOUR BROWSER WILL PERSIST.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (A) WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR PERSONAL INJURY ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE TOOLS — INCLUDING RELIANCE ON ANY CALCULATION, POSITION, READING, REMINDER, OR OTHER OUTPUT; AND (B) OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO A TOOL IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THAT TOOL.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for gross negligence or willful misconduct, for fraud, or any statutory consumer rights (including under EU or UK consumer law) that these terms may not lawfully alter. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction granting such rights, these terms do not reduce them.
9. Indemnity for misuse
If you use a tool in violation of §2 (safety-critical responsibilities) or otherwise unlawfully, and that use leads to a third-party claim against us, you agree to indemnify us for that claim.
10. Changes
We may update these terms; the version and date at the top will change, and tools will ask you to accept the new version before continued use. Continued use after acceptance constitutes agreement.

12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Venue for disputes not required to be elsewhere lies in the state and federal courts serving the county of the Company's registered office in Michigan; either party may use small-claims court where eligible.
13. Purchases & refunds
Prices are shown at purchase. Digital products are delivered by download/link; all sales are final except where a refund is required by law. For EU/UK consumers: by requesting immediate delivery of digital content at checkout you consent to delivery beginning at once and acknowledge that the 14-day withdrawal right lapses on delivery, as captured in the checkout flow.
