Privacy Policy

Your data is yours.
This page proves it.

Effective date: June 11, 2026 · contempl8.studio

This Privacy Policy describes how contempl8.studio ("we," "us") handles information across our website (contempl8.studio), our applications (the single-file tools we sell), and our social media presence. The short version: our apps store everything on your own device, and we collect almost nothing.

1. The apps: your data never leaves your device

Every contempl8.studio tool (Sourdough Studio, Newborn Sleep Studio, Garden Studio, and the rest) runs entirely in your browser. All data you enter — logs, journals, inventories, photos — is stored locally on your device using your browser's storage (localStorage and IndexedDB).

2. What we do collect, and why

Purchase information. When you buy a tool on Etsy, Etsy provides us your name, email address, and order details. We use these solely to personalize your copy of the app, deliver it to you by email, provide support, and send free updates for the product you purchased. Etsy's own handling of your payment data is governed by the Etsy Privacy Policy; we never see your payment details.

Email. If you email us at contempl8x@gmail.com, we keep the correspondence to provide support.

We do not sell, rent, or share this information with anyone, and we do not use it for advertising or send marketing emails.

3. Website analytics and cookies

The contempl8.studio website (not the apps) uses:

The demo tools hosted under /tools/ store demo data in your browser's local storage so your trial entries persist between visits — that data also never leaves your device.

4. Our social media apps

We operate developer applications with platforms such as Pinterest and Meta (Instagram) for one purpose: publishing our own marketing content (pins, videos, posts) to our own accounts. These applications do not collect, store, or process any data about other users of those platforms, do not read other users' content, and have no audience beyond our own business accounts.

5. Data retention and your rights

We keep purchase records (name, email, order reference) for as long as needed to provide you delivery, support, and free updates. You may at any time request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (which ends our ability to send you product updates) by emailing contempl8x@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days.

Your in-app data needs no rights request — it is on your device, fully under your control, and deletable by clearing the app's data or your browser storage.

6. Community contributions

If you choose to share a recipe to the contempl8.studio community via the "Share to community" button in your tool, the following data is sent to our servers:

By submitting, you grant contempl8.studio a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to display the submitted content on the public community pages. You may request removal of your contributions at any time via the contact link below.

Contributions are reviewed before going public. Submissions deemed inappropriate, unsafe, or copyright-infringing will be rejected.

7. Children

Our website and products are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we will update this page and its effective date. Questions: contempl8x@gmail.com.
